Who Are You When I'm Not Looking - Blake Shelton
Cowboy Casanova - Carrie Underwood
Every Time You Lie - Demi Lovato
Dirt Road Anthem - Jason Aldean
Walking In Memphis - Lonestar

Notes & Rambles about this weeks songs;
This week's playlist is 90% country, I swear. You may or may not know I'm a huge fan of country music though and listen to it every day. It just happened this week that was mostly what I listened to.
I've been listening to a lot of songs that I used to listen to - if you know what I mean... the songs that get pushed aside when new ones come out.
I have two current favourites out of the new recordings of the songs that are gonna be on Dave Giles' new EP - I meant to put Watching People on Trains in last weeks playlist, but because I usually form the playlist's on itunes and the song is on myspace, I forgot to add it when I was writing it up on here. So this week I've put my other favourite song on the list, Bangerang. It is awesome
If I Die Young is my new favourite song by The Band Perry. Because simply, It's a stunning song!
I love Kellie Pickler's new song, Tough! It's so good to hear new music from her!
Love Story was probably the second ever Taylor Swift song I heard and I've been listening to it a lot recently - It's one those songs I was talking about it the beginning.
I've been listening to Summerlin a lot. I have fond memories linked to their songs. Particularly Watch You Dance
Blake Shelton is a big yes. I'm kind of obsessed with Who Are You When I'm Not Looking.
One of my favourite and most played Carrie Underwood songs is Cowboy Casanova - It's kind of on repeat... again.
Another one of those songs I mentioned in the beginning is Every Time You Lie by Demi Lovato, It's probably one of my favourite Demi Lovato songs but (until this week) I haven't listened to it in a while.
Forever obsessed and listening to Dirt Road Anthem by Jason Aldean.
Other country songs that were on repeat this week included Walking In Memphis by Lonestar.

I'm sure my rambles notes get longer every week... a big congrats and thanks if you actually read that.
Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.

Welcome to This Weeks Playlist - A collection of songs that I've loved most this week!
All songs are linked, click on the artists name to go to a page where you can listen to the song.

These Old Wings - Anna Nalick
The Real World - Owl City
Dearly Beloved - Faith Hill
From Heads Unworthy - Rise Against
Fearless - Taylor Swift
Way Out Here - Josh Thompson
Secret Love - Stevie Nicks
The Wild One - Suzi Quatro
Last Night In History - Verses

Notes & Rambles about this weeks songs;
I swear I have a new favourite Anna Nalick song every week... This week it's These Old Wings.
I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for the new Owl City album ever since it was announced to be released.. of course I love it and probably won't stop listening to it any time soon. The Real World is my current favourite track off the new album and contains my favourite line ever 'Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there' - just awesome.
Dearly Beloved by Faith Hill is one of those songs. It just makes me happy. Every time I listen to it I smile instantly... & you can't beat that!
I bought my ticket on Tuesday to see Rise Against in November - a long time, but very excited! - And From Heads Unworthy is the most played Rise Against song on my itunes.. I kind of listen to it constantly.
I'm kind of obsessed with the chorus from Scar by Missy Higgins - It's one of my favourites right now.
Whenever I listen to Fearless - both the album and song - it brings back a lot of memories. I often listen to it when I'm struck down with sadness & lack of inspiration. It's helped me a lot and it still does. & I'm sure y'all know by now, but Taylor Swift is my favourite person ever.
Way Out Here by Josh Thompson... need I say any more? Country fans will understand. It's just one of those incredible songs that just make me want to sing... even if I don't want to.
Stevie Nicks released a new album a few days ago... and you better believe I got it! I adore the album, I think it's amazing. Secret Love has been on repeat this week.
You can't beat a bit of Suzi Quatro (!!) The Wild One is probably one of my favourite songs ever.
I recently went to see Verses - who were awesome - And then I came back and downloaded their EP. Last Night In History is one of my favourites.

Another week, another mad collection of songs... and rambles to go with them!
Hope y'all had a great week!

This Weeks Playlist [24/6/11]

This Weeks Playlist - 24/6/11

Welcome to This Weeks Playlist - A collection of songs that I've loved most this week!
All songs are linked, click on the artists name to go to a page where you can listen to the song.
(I don't have a link for Note to Self, but ya'll should just go and buy her album anyway!)

Car Crash - Anna Nalick
Angela - Missy Higgins
Collapse (Post Amerika) - Rise Against
Fireflies - Faith Hill
You Lie - The Band Perry
Note To Self - Tenille
Long Live - Taylor Swift
Sleeps - Summerlin
Glorious - The Pierces

Notes & rambles about this weeks songs;
Car Crash is my new favourite Anna Nalick song, it's kind of been on repeat this week. And it's climbing fast up the list of most played songs on my itunes.
I fell in love with the lyrics of Angela by Missy Higgins this week. Just incredible.
There has been a lot of listening to Rise Against been going on recently. And now, today, I found out they're going on a UK tour and so listening is not going to stop any time soon. This week I chose Collapse (Post Amerika) for this weeks playlist because it was on repeat at the start of the week.
I do believe on my Last FM page, it says: 'I'm both a long time punk fan & country fan' - and that sums this weeks playlist up in a nutshell I think... and my taste in music. Being a country fan means I'm a fan of Faith Hill. And Fireflies is just... amazing. The lyrics are stunning. I love it.
I would very much like Kimberly Perry's voice please. Ugh, it's perfect. Secret pleasures aside... You Lie is one of those songs I just have to listen to over and over again. Because I love it that much.
I finally got round to buying Tenille's debut album this week! I instantly fell in love with every song... which made it hard to choose just one to put in this weeks playlist. But I choose Note To Self, because it struck a chord with me. I felt I related to it a lot. And she just has such an incredible voice.
I could literally listen to Long Live all day, I swear. It's no secret that Taylor Swift is my favourite person.. (yes person not just singer or song writer.. because she's all of those too.) and she's my most played artist on Last FM & itunes. Long Live makes me emotional, it probably shouldn't but it does. I love the lyrics, the meaning... everything.
I had to put Summerlin in, not just because I adore them but because I went to see them yesterday! Yesss. They were amazing, as is this song! Sleeps is their latest song and I love it!
Whenever I listen to Glorious it makes me want to sing. Really loudly. Haha! I've seen them perform it live which makes me listen to it even more I think.
Change is such an incredible song. I find it very inspiring and beyond true...
And once again this has been a lot of rambling.
I'd like to congratulate you if you read it all!

If you're getting bored with my music related posts, don't worry, I have a fashion post tomorrow!

Video of the Week [21/6/11]

I was supposed to post this yesterday... oops. But anyway, Video of the Week is something I did on my music blog and just like This Week's Playlist it'll be happening every week on this blog now.
(Video of the Week on Monday's and This Week's Playlist on Friday's)
So, this week's Video of the Week is Pictures on a Crooked Wall by Tenille, who I mentioned in Friday's post.
She's a Canadian country singer-songwriter whose debut album came out earlier this month and I'm in love with her song Pictures on a Crooked Wall and the video for it is simply amazing!
Watch it below!

Happy Tuesday!

This Weeks Playlist [17/6/11]

This Weeks Playlist - 17/6/11

Welcome to This Weeks Playlist - A collection of songs that I've loved most this week!
All songs are linked, click on the artists name to go to a page where you can listen to the song.

Broken Doll - Anna Nalick
Blowin' In The Wind - Bob Dylan
Any Way I Want To - Delta Maid
I Put Your Records On - The Pierces
Pictures On a Crooked Wall - Tenille
Goonight Bad Morning - The Kills
Mexian Moon - Concrete Blonde
Long Live The Queen - Frank Turner
Saviour - Rise Against
Stuck Like Glue - Sugarland

Notes and rambles about this week's songs;
This weeks playlist contains a lot of favourites and current favourites.
Anna Nalick recently released her long awaited album - Broken doll & Odds and Ends.
Broken Doll is one of my favourites on it!
My list of favourite songs by Bob Dylan (whom I adore) is quite long... but Blowin in the Wind is probably near the top.
Delta Maid (...blog post about her soon!) is my latest obsession. Her voice is like heaven
Any Way I Want To is my current favourite song by her.
Having seen them recently, I'm spending a lot of time listening to The Pierces. New favourite song = I Put Your Records On.
She started following me on twitter recently and so I thought I better check her out... Tenille is a new Canadian country singer & songwriter and she is amazing. I bought two of her songs on itunes and I can't stop listening to Pictures on a Crooked Wall.
I can't wait to buy her debut album! It came out on the 11th (June), but I have an itunes bill to pay yet! Haha.
My current favourite The Kills song is Goodnight Bad Morning ♥
Again, it's hard to choose a favourite Concrete Blonde song because the list gets longer each time I think about it. But Mexican Moon comes close and I've been listening to it a lot recently.
My favourite song off Love, Ire & Song. Long live the queen by Frank Turner was very near the top of my most played songs on itunes on my old laptop.
I recently had to rack my brains when someone asked me what my favourite Rise Against song was. I sat and listened to an album or two especially and wrote a list. I drew a heart next to Saviour and so I figured that was a sign. I do love the song and I've been listening to it a lot since making that list.
Stuck Like Glue is like a need in my day. It's so addictive and I need to listen it too many times in the day.

That was a lot of rambling... sorry.
Happy Friday!
Q: What are your current favourite songs?

Introducing... Halfway To New York

Halfway to New York ♥

Based in London and made up of Sam Burkey (vocals), Ross O'Reilly (guitar), Scott de Jongh (guitar), Daniel Mount (bass) & Martin Griffith (drums) - Halfway to New York are definitely my new favourite band.
When someone recommends me music, I'm pretty wary. My taste in music is so varied and it changes more often than you could ever imagine. People think they have my music taste down and then it changes.
But when a singer recommends music. I don't take a second to think about it. Especially when that singer is the second most listened to on my last fm.
They have a sound similar to Stereophonics and Snow Patrol and are now one of the rare, few reasons I actually go onto myspace.
I honestly cannot wait for them to officially release their songs - so I can clog my itunes & last fm up with their name - until then, you can find me listening to them on myspace... and stalking them on Facebook. (I'm kidding about the last part... sort of)
You should definitely give them a listen, particularly if you like the sort of music that the two bands I mentioned above play.

Preparing for The Pierces.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
The Pierces / {Source}

I was originally going to do this blog entry for my music blog... but then I realized I'm just going on about my outfit so it would be better suited here!

I tend to do a fair amount of preparation for most gigs I go to (if you didn't know, I go to a lot of gigs) - admittedly most of that preparation is my outfit.
In a weeks time I'm going to see The Pierces and a lot of my preparations are of course, my outfit.
My gig outfits are usually based on something about the singer/band I'm going to see or sometimes the style/genre.
I have a white based, kind of flowy outfit planned. With lace and flowers. I don't really wear dresses that much, mainly because I never find or imagine any dresses that would suit me. But anyway, back to the outfit, I guess it's based around their style and their music. Very soft, flowy, and boho-like.
I took some photos a few days ago:

Dress; Flower Hair Clip; Gloves/wrist bands; Shoes (the shoes are a lot lighter than they are in this photo)

DSCF8823
Also; Lace tights!

I also bought a flower crown, but I'm not sure if to wear that or the flower clip.
The dress is the one I wore when I moved, you can see it properly in the outfit post I done.
I'm literally in love with the little wrist... things - I clearly have no idea what they're actually called, feel free to let me know, haha! - They're just so pretty (!!) & I've been meaning to buy lace tights for a while but haven't 'til now. I love them!
As for the shoes, I wasn't meant to be buying any more shoes. (...like that was actually gonna happen though) but they are oxfords (my favourite)! And they were in the sale for £8... EIGHT?!

I will be doing a proper outfit post after the gig, but I just wanted to share what I will wearing!

P.S - Happy June!
